Inksky is an independent, reader-supported site covering e-readers, ebooks, and the tools that make digital reading better. We publish 140+ articles across reviews, buying guides, tutorials, comparisons, and a weekly book pick — all written for people who want clear, practical answers, not marketing copy.

This site exists because buying an e-reader shouldn’t feel like deciphering a spec sheet. I started Inksky after spending one too many evenings wading through forum threads trying to figure out whether a Kobo could do something a Kindle couldn’t, or why my Calibre library kept breaking. Everything here is shaped by the questions real readers ask — from “which device is best for PDFs?” to “can I actually read in the bath?”

We focus on Kindle, Kobo, Boox, reMarkable, PocketBook, and the software and accessories around them. Whether you are buying your first e-reader or hunting for an obscure Calibre plugin, we aim to be a reliable first stop.

The site is built with Astro and deployed on Cloudflare Pages, giving you fast, privacy-respecting pages anywhere in the world.

Meet the Team

Inksky is run by Alex, an e-reader enthusiast who has been testing and writing about e-readers since 2018. What started as a notebook of device comparisons and Calibre tips grew into the site you’re reading now. Every article is either written directly by Alex or reviewed by him before publication.

How We Create Content

Every article on Inksky is written or reviewed by a human. We use AI tools for research assistance, drafting, and formatting, but all content is checked for accuracy before publication. When an article changes based on reader feedback, firmware updates, or new information, we update it and note the change date.

We believe it is important to be transparent about this, so every article that benefited from AI assistance is marked as such in its metadata, and we never publish content that has not been reviewed by a real person.

Corrections Policy

We care about accuracy. If an article contains a factual error, we correct it as soon as we can and note the correction date at the bottom of the article. Readers who spot a mistake are encouraged to let us know — we’d much rather fix it than leave it.

When firmware updates, new product releases, or reader feedback make an article out of date, we revise the whole piece and update the “last updated” timestamp. We never silently rewrite an article to change its original conclusions without noting what changed.

How We Make Money

Inksky is funded through affiliate commissions. Some of our articles contain links to Amazon and other retailers. When you buy something after clicking one of those links, we may earn a small commission. This never affects the price you pay, and we never recommend a product because a brand asks us to — our reviews and recommendations are based on our own research and hands-on use.

Any page containing affiliate links will display a clear disclosure notice at the top of the article.
